Sell Online Courses With Payment Plans, Subscriptions or One Price
Vonza gives every course seven ways to charge: free, one-time, subscription, recurring, installments, flexible payments and pay what you want, with coupons, bump offers and drip content around them. Students pay through Stripe, PayPal or Paystack and see every installment in their own portal.
Price it the way your students pay
Charge once, every month, in scheduled installments or at whatever the student chooses, then release the lessons on the schedule that fits the plan. Every option is a plan on the course, and a course can carry several.
Installment plans you schedule
Split the total into charges you schedule, with the first taken at checkout. List each charge yourself or repeat one every so many days, and students see what is due next in their portal.
Pay what you want, within limits
Let students choose how much to pay. Set a minimum, a maximum, or neither, and hide the amount on the sales page if you prefer the plan to speak for itself.
Drip by time, date, payment or quiz
Release content gradually: unlock sections a number of days after enrollment, on a date, after a payment or after a quiz is passed, so a payment plan and a lesson plan move together.
Every way to charge, and everything around it
Every plan type the courses app offers, plus the two checkout tools that lift the order. Mix them on one course and put them in the order you want on the sales page.
One-Time Purchase
Pay once, keep access. Add an access length or a maximum number of students if you want.
Subscription Plan
Charged every week, month or year until canceled, with an optional free trial on the plan.
Recurring Payment
Charge the price a set number of times, then stop. Good for a fixed-length program.
Installment Plan
Split the total into charges you schedule. The first is taken at checkout; the rest collect on their dates.
Flexible Payment
Students pay the total in parts, any time and as often as they like, above a minimum you can set.
Pay What You Want
Students choose how much to pay, within limits you can set, or with no limit at all.
Coupons
A percentage or a fixed amount off any plan, for a launch, a cohort or a partner.
Bump offers
A one-click add-on under the order summary: a product, course, bundle, membership or community.
Sell more at checkout
The checkout page carries more than the plan. Suggest something extra as a one-click add-on, take a coupon, pay affiliates on the sale and accept the ways people already pay, in the currencies Paystack serves across Africa.
- Bump offers: a one-click add-on under the order summary
- Coupons as a percentage or a fixed amount
- Affiliates earn a percentage of the sale or a fixed amount per sale
- Stripe, PayPal and Paystack, with card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and Afterpay
How course pricing works on Vonza
From a connected payment account to installments that collect themselves, in four steps.
- STEP 01
Connect a payment provider
Connect Stripe, PayPal or Paystack to your Vonza account. Paid plans need a connected account; free plans work without one.
- STEP 02
Add your plans
Open the course’s Pricing tab and add one or more plans from the seven types. The order you set is the order on the sales page.
- STEP 03
Add coupons, bump offers and drip
Create a coupon, put a bump offer on the checkout page and decide when each section unlocks: on enrolment, on a date, after a payment or after a quiz.
- STEP 04
Students pay, installments collect themselves
Students check out once. Installments and flexible balances are charged on schedule and shown under Billing in their portal, with Pay next payment and Pay remaining balance.
Questions about course pricing options

Yes. An Installment Plan splits the total into charges you schedule, with the first taken at checkout and the rest collected on their dates. A Flexible Payment plan lets students pay the total in parts, any time and as often as they like, above a minimum you set. Students see what is due in their portal and pay it from there.
Seven plan types: Free, One-Time Purchase, Subscription Plan (charged every week, month or year until canceled), Recurring Payment (a set number of charges, then stop), Installment Plan, Flexible Payment and Pay What You Want. Each plan can also carry a free trial, an access length, a maximum number of students, prerequisites and sequential lessons.
Yes. Add as many plans as you like to a course, for example a one-time price, a three-part installment plan and a free preview. The order you set in the Pricing tab is the order on the sales page, and any plan can hide its amount while staying purchasable.
Yes. A Free plan takes no payment and works without a connected payment account, which suits lead magnets and previews. A paid plan can carry a free trial, so students start before the first charge. Free preview can also be switched on per lesson.
A coupon takes a percentage or a fixed amount off a plan at checkout. A bump offer is a one-click add-on shown under the order summary, with its own headline, description and price; it can add a product, another course, a bundle, a membership or a community to the order.
Stripe, PayPal and Paystack, with Paystack serving Nigerian naira, Ghanaian cedi, South African rand and Kenyan shilling. At checkout students can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Afterpay, PayPal or Paystack, depending on the providers you connect. Paid plans need a connected account; free plans do not.
The Starter plan includes 10 courses, Growth includes 20 and Business is unlimited, each with every pricing option on this page. Current prices and the full plan comparison are on the pricing page.
No. Price and payment terms lock once a plan is created, because students may already be paying on them. To sell on new terms, duplicate the plan, change the copy and stop selling the old one; students already on it keep their terms.
