A link in bio QR code is a square code that opens your link in bio page when someone points a phone camera at it. It does the job of your profile link in places where nobody can tap: a poster, a business card, a product box, a slide or a market stall. Because it opens a page you can edit, one printed code can keep sending people to your latest offers for as long as the page stays up.
When a link in bio QR code earns its place
A QR code is worth printing when people meet you offline and you want them to land in one place online. Good fits:
- Events and talks: a code on your last slide, your banner or a table card, so the room can find your course, booking page or newsletter in one scan.
- Business cards and flyers: one code instead of five web addresses and four social handles.
- Packaging and inserts: a code on the box or thank-you card that opens your care guide, reorder link and socials.
- Shop counters and stalls: a code by the till for your menu, booking page or loyalty sign-up.
- Print and video: a code in a magazine ad, on merch, or on screen in a live stream or a recorded video.
When it does not help: on your own social profiles, where people can tap the link, and anywhere too small or too far away to scan.
How to get your QR code in Vonza
- Open Link in bio in your Vonza dashboard and choose your page.
- Choose Share and QR code: “Put this link in your bio, or let people scan the code.”
- Download the code as a PNG for screens and quick use, or as a print-quality SVG for anything printed. The code is drawn in your browser: “It always opens this page, even after you change its links.”
The same panel copies your page link and gives you an embed code to show the page on any website. The QR code opens your page at yourname.vonza.com. If you have not built a page yet, start with the Vonza link in bio builder and one of its 15 templates.
PNG or SVG?
- PNG is an image file, 1024 pixels square. Use it for slides, social posts, emails and screens.
- SVG is a vector file, so it stays sharp at any size. Use it for anything printed: cards, posters, banners, packaging. Send the SVG to your designer or printer rather than a screenshot.
Print tips that keep it scannable
- Size it for the distance. A code on a business card is scanned from a hand’s length; a code on a poster or a stage screen is scanned from metres away and must be much bigger. Test it from where people will actually stand.
- Leave a quiet border. The downloaded code comes with a white border built in. Keep it, and do not let text or pictures run into it.
- Keep contrast high. A dark code on a light background scans best. Avoid printing it on busy photos or glossy surfaces that reflect light.
- Say what it opens. A line under the code, such as “Scan for the free guide and booking link”, gives people a reason to scan.
- Test before you print the batch. Scan a proof with two or three different phones, in normal light.
Do not change your handle after printing
Your QR code points to your page address, so editing the page itself is safe: change links, pictures, the template or the schedule as often as you like and the code keeps working. Changing the handle is not safe. When you use Change link, the old address stops working at once, and Vonza warns that any printed QR code will no longer reach the page. You can change the link again only after 7 days.
So before you print, pick a handle you will keep, and if you ever rename it, download a new code and replace the printed ones. The same goes for taking a page offline: its link, and the code, stop working until you publish it again.
Make the scan worth it
The code only gets people to the page; the page has to do the rest. Put the offer you are promoting at the top, highlight it, and use a scheduled link for an event or sale so it shows only while it runs. Then check your page analytics, views, taps and taps for every link, after the event to see what people opened.
