Canonical: https://vonza.net/blog/whats-new-in-vonza-courses The courses module has been rebuilt from the ground up. Over the last few weeks we shipped a new courses app, a new student portal, AI course creation, five sales-page templates, a drag-and-drop certificate designer, rebuilt quizzes and assignments, seven ways to price a course and live streaming inside lessons. This post walks through each change and links to the page that explains it in full. ## A new courses app Every course now lives in a new admin app with a left rail for Curriculum, Details, Pricing, Marketing, Certificates, Students, Comments and Insights. Lessons are built from blocks: video, file, text, embed, live stream, stock image, quiz and assignment. Sections and lessons drag into order, a lesson can be a free preview, and a quiz or assignment sits wherever it belongs in the path. Nothing about your existing courses changed. Your curriculum, students, prices and sales history are in the new app the moment you open it. Start on the [online course platform](https://vonza.net/free-online-courses-platform) page for the full tour. ## Create a course with AI The biggest change is the course wizard. Give the course a title and choose how to begin: - **Upload my video.** Add your recordings and Vonza transcribes them in thirteen languages or detects the language, splits each video into lessons at every topic change, groups the lessons into modules, writes a title and a short summary per lesson and drafts a quiz per module. - **Describe it, get an outline with Vonza AI.** Tell Vonza AI the topic, the audience, the level and roughly how many lessons, and an outline with modules, lesson summaries, a quiz per module and a sales-page description appears, usually in 15 to 30 seconds. - **Start blank.** An empty course you build lesson by lesson. Every path ends at the same outline review, price and publish steps. You rename, reorder, add or remove anything before students see it. Read the [AI course creator](https://vonza.net/ai-course-creator) page, or follow the step-by-step [how to turn your videos into an online course with AI](https://vonza.net/blog/turn-videos-into-online-course-ai). ## Five sales-page templates A course or bundle sales page now comes in five designs: Standard, Original, Cinematic, Bento and Spotlight. You pick one in Details → Sales page → Template, and the live preview shows your page in it before you use it. Nothing changes until you click Use. When you do, the course itself, its title, description, pictures, lessons and prices, stays as it is. See each layout on the [course sales page templates](https://vonza.net/course-sales-page-templates) page, and the worked examples in [online course sales page examples](https://vonza.net/blog/online-course-sales-page-examples). ## A drag-and-drop certificate designer Certificates have a new editor. Pick one of seven starting layouts (Navy Wave, Gold Chevron, Corner Frame, Classic, Elegant, Modern, Minimal), one of six colour themes, and one of six fonts. Drag your logo, two signatures and a seal onto the canvas. The student’s name, the course name, the completion date and a serial number fill in by themselves for every student. Certificates issue when the course is completed, when the plan is paid in full, or only once every quiz is passed, and students download the PDF from their portal. Details on the [course certificates](https://vonza.net/course-certificates) page and in [how to design a course completion certificate](https://vonza.net/blog/course-completion-certificate). ## A new student portal Students get a portal on your domain with your logo and colours. Home greets them with their streak, the lesson to pick up where they left off, upcoming live sessions and their progress. The player remembers where they stopped, explains why a lesson is locked (drip, a prerequisite, a payment or a quiz), and lets them hand in assignments by drag-and-drop or from a phone camera. Library holds their downloads and orders, Billing their instalments and receipts, and on the School plan their program grades and transcript. Everything a student sees is on the [student portal](https://vonza.net/student-portal) page. ## Quizzes and assignments Quizzes support single choice, multiple choice, true/false and short answer questions, with images on questions and answers, points per question, a pass mark, an attempt limit, retakes, and a choice between graded and practice. A quiz can be required before the next lesson and can release drip content when passed. Assignments carry instructions, files for students, a due date with a late flag and total points. Every submission across every course lands in one inbox for grading. Read [course quizzes and assignments](https://vonza.net/course-quizzes-and-assignments) or the longer [course quizzes that teach](https://vonza.net/blog/online-course-quizzes). ## Seven ways to price a course A course can sell on more than one plan: Free, One-Time Purchase, Subscription Plan, Recurring Payment, Installment Plan, Flexible Payment and Pay What You Want. Add coupons as a percentage or a fixed amount, bump offers on the checkout page, a free trial, and drip rules that release content immediately, days after enrolment, on a date, after a payment or after a quiz is passed. Payments run through Stripe, PayPal and Paystack. Plan limits follow your Vonza plan: Starter includes 10 courses, Growth 20 and Business unlimited. The [course pricing options](https://vonza.net/course-pricing-options) page lists every model, and [how to price your course](https://vonza.net/blog/how-to-price-your-course) helps you choose. ## Live streaming inside lessons A lesson can be a live stream. Students join from the lesson itself, with chat, screen sharing and a recording that stays in the course as the lesson video afterwards. The [live streaming](https://vonza.net/live-streaming) page has the room, the scheduling and the recording options. ## What to do first 1. Open Courses and look at an existing course in the new app. 2. Try the wizard with two or three recordings you already have. 3. Pick a sales-page template in the live preview. 4. Set your certificate and your issue rule. ## Frequently asked questions ### Do I need to do anything to get the new courses app? No. The new courses app, the student portal and every feature in this post are live for every Vonza account. Open Courses in your dashboard and you are in the new app; your existing courses, students and sales are already there. ### Is AI course creation included in my plan? Yes. Create a course with AI is on every plan. It uses AI credits, and every plan includes a monthly allowance; you can buy more credits at any time. ### Can I keep my current course sales page? Yes. The five templates apply to pages on the new theme. A course on the classic theme keeps its page until you switch, and the classic page is kept so you can switch back.
